This graph shows Australia's gold production by quarters from January 1995 to mid 2008.

Gold is one of Australia's top five single exports.

Gold production in Australia peaked at 318 tonnes for 1997/98. Production for 2007/2008 was 232 tonnes.

Annual gold production is worth about A$7 billion at the current spot price.
